After the historic collection number 1, Diabolik – King of Terror, and the iconic Diabolik – Diabolik’s Arrest, here is another artist’s edition celebrating an absolute symbol of Italian comic book tradition. In Diabolik – The Elusive Criminal, Italy’s most famous thief is caught up in a tight web of blackmail, gambling debts, and elaborate disguises: a plot full of action and twists. In this new hardcover edition, the original plates from issue 2 of the Giussani sisters’ series are presented as they were received, in their original format and with all the “technical” traces of production, more or less visible, that have settled on them over time.
For this volume, a limited head run of only 99 copies has been printed, with a silver cover numbered in Arabic digits and enclosed in a black case. Each of the 99 copies contains an exclusive illustration printed on special paper, created specifically by Mauro De Luca. Furthermore, in the head run of 14 copies numbered in Roman digits, reserved for the publishers and collaborators of this volume, a second illustration was also printed, created specifically by Mauro De Luca.
